I have photos to sort through from =yvanklestein's visit. That, of course, includes the devmeet. Thanks to everyone who came - despite a few hiccups it was awesome I also couldn't believe how tiny =xxbcxx is in real life!

I have Christmas shopping to do. I hate Christmas.

One of my cats got lost. Turns out she was locked in a neighbour's garage. With his porsche. Luckily he likes cats so if she bounced all over it (cause she likes playing on cars) then he will forgive her. That or we'll have to get her a new identity and ship her to Cuba

Just a little bit of an update on where things are, times, and activities.

The nearest Tube station to the Tate is Southwark. It's about a 10-15 minute walk away from Waterloo (that's the big one that most trains come into from other cities).

On the agenda for the day: Meeting up at the Tate Modern about 11, having a wander around and going on to the Hyde Park Winter Wonderland (official website here There's also the Natural History Museum Ice Rink for those that fancy it. We'll be at the Hyde Park Corner station for about 12.30 if you don't want to go to the Tate.

After that, the plan is to head off to the metbar (wetherspoons) which is on Baker Street. Over 18's only I'm afraid for this bit - they kick you out if you're underage, so don't forget to bring your ID!

Huzzah, let us rejoice, for the lovely =xxbcxx and I have arranged a devMEET to celebrate the arrival of =yvanklestein in our lovely bit of the world!


Here is the important information:

Date: Saturday 5th December
Time: between 11-12 meeting (I might see about having a flag with me or something so you folks can find us)
Place: Meet at the Tate Modern Gallery (outside the entrance), after that, wherever we feel like
Activities: We'll decide that on the day depending on what people want - make sure you bring ID if you're over 18 and we end up in a pub so you can get served.


How will I know it's you?
=yvanklestein is 6' 5" and will be wearing his DEVIANTART 9TH BIRTHDAY tshirt .
I have brown hair, wear glasses, and will be wearing the DEVIANTART MIDNIGHT TANK and carrying a homemade flag with a badly drawn dA logo on it.

You can find a map on Google Maps UK - just search 'Tate Gallery london' and you'll get a map of the surrounding area. If you need a hand with transport around London, or getting to London, drop =xxbcxx a note, and she'll lend a hand, as she knows London a lot better than I do!

I found my image on another site, problem is I'm not sure what language it's in (although the 'Yahoo Vietnam' in the top left corner of the page gives me an idea). A small problem is I don't speak Vietnamese - does anyone know if I can report it to Yahoo!UK and let them take care of it?

EDIT I've found the international contact address for copyright infringement for Yahoo! and sent them an email with the things they asked for (links, names etc). Hopefully I'll hear back from them soon.

So, the awesomeness is my shiny new deviation (more to follow), and the fact that I now have internets connected to my desktop This also means I have been able to clear the 2000+ deviations left in my message centre, other than the 700 or so I have to full view and favourite/ comment on (but they're saved in a separate folder, so it's all good).

The annoyance is that this afternoon my desktop/ start menu shortcuts vanished I ran a full virus scan, and McAfee says my system is all shiny and clean. So I am stumped. If anyone else has an idea of a way to stop it happening, please enlighten me. It seems to only be affecting program shortcuts - folders and folder shortcuts seem to be unaffected.

Other than that, life goes on. Work is still hectic (coffee shop) and boring (doctor's). But Stargate SG-1 is awesome. Also, not long now until =yvanklestein is my little part of the world

Also, does anyone know if its possible to save the CSS you're using as a journal skin if it hasn't been submitted as one already? Because I can't seem to
